Things just got about as gloomy as they could get for Anita Brookner.

British magician Paul Daniels has died, aged 77. He always seemed a sprightly and cheerful man.

Actor Larry Drake has died, age 34 points.

Rob Ford’s not doing so well.

And to think that I had him on my list last year, but didn’t carry him over. If he dies, I want full credit for making it happen. :wink:

I will have to live with some of that burden, after two years I dropped him this year also.

While we celebrated James Garner’s death (2nd anniversary) earlier in posts 1029 and 1030; a cast member has died this year.

Joe Santos, who starred as Lt. Dennis Becker in The Rockford Files, has died, his agent confirmed to PEOPLE. He was 84.

Baltimore Raven’s CB Tray Walker dead at age 23 from injuries in a Dirt Bike accident.

Guy’s driving a dirt bike on city streets, at night with no headlights, not wearing a helmet. That was a Darwin Award waiting to happen.

The only way it could have been worse was to be going the wrong way down a oneway street. I saw a guy doing that on a black bicycle, in dark clothes, with no lights.

From the article, I get the impression it was motorized. “Dirt bike” is, these days, not a term that is commonly used for bicycles.

On the way to work when Clinton was running for President, I missed an out of state car going the wrong way on a one way street that went to the Governor’s mansion. I have wondered what happened when the Secret Service saw a car speeding towards the mansion.
I did not hear gunfire.

John Schnabel, from the TV show “Gold Rush” and gold mining pioneer died at 96. Thought of listing him, but thought “eh, low hanging fruit”. Sure could use the points now!

“Benny” from L.A. Law? He was great in that–RIP Mr. Drake.

Barry Hines, novelist and writer for TV(he wrote the screenplay for Threads) has died.
