I just saw this in the Sunday paper this morning where they list the notable people who died this week: cartoonist Richard Thompson (“Cul-de-Sac”) died this week at age 58.
I remember when he had to take a break from the strip due to his Parkinson’s, and several other cartoonists pitched in to help out. Eventually, though, he just had to give it up. It makes me sad whenever strips like “Cul-de-Sac” have to end, and crap like Family Circus and Garfield just seem to go on forever.
