Celebrity Death Pool 2017

Nobody had John Berger or Mack Machowicz.

Four days in and nobody has any points? Darn posh celebrity slackers! C’mon – someone start a body count!

Seems a bit harsh on the canon, though I suppose we could probably find one who was guilty of child sex offences for the purpose.

Close. My list is everyone who has visited the moon without walking on it.

Is there an award for the most specific theme?

You get the entirety of the cash prize?

Hellfire, I meant to say Chris Christy. I guess I’m stuck with Steve Christy the ex Buffalo Bills kicker.

There’s got to be a kicking the bucket joke in there somewhere…

Many many years ago, when the Cardinals football team was still in St Louis, they had a so-so place kicker named Steve Little. IIRC, the day he got cut from the team, he went out and got drunk and wound up killing himself when he drove off the road and hit a highway sign. I still remember my brother’s comment: “I can’t believe it! He hit the upright again!”

LMAO!

I love how we Death Poolers are all in the same handbasket.

Actually, it is worse than that. He failed to score, ending up a quadriplegic. At the time of the accident, he would have been worth 76 points, but he lingered on for a bit, until finally coughing up 57 points, to no one in particular.

It’s odd how we tend to think in terms of points. I’m tempted to have how many points I leave behind carved on my tombstone. No one here can collect of course ----- but I’m sure I’m in someone’s list somewhere.

As a benefit to out fellow Dopers, perhaps we can announce our illness or fondness for bad company, and resign.

What is your strategy for posted late enough not to be copied, yet to have no clients denied?

Milt Schmidt, Former Boston Bruin leaves two points behind.

George Kosana, who played the Sheriff in Night Of The Living Dead, is dead at 81.

You mean Steve Christie? Not a bad choice. He had colon cancer but it seems to be in remission.

“I’ve got a little list/ They never will be missed”*

Or IS he?

How long did we have to wait for the first deathpoints last year?

Remember when we had two deaths on New Year’s Day?

I do. It was only like two years ago. Mario Cuomo was one of them.
