I didn’t know that was the same person, my mistake. I searched for all instances of “Gene” and nothing came up. I’ll know from here on that searches don’t take full names into account.
He was known as Gene when I was a kid idolizing the Apollo astronauts. 
But it wasn’t a big secret that ‘Gene’ was often short for ‘Eugene.’ From that same era “Clean for Gene!” with the ‘Gene’ being Sen. Eugene McCarthy.

Did anyone have Yanni Alexis Mardas, aka Magic Alex, the engineer with ties to the Beatles? He died a couple days ago at age 74.
Ahem…there is someone missing in this list.
IMO, Randy Seltzer is not in third place, he is in 18th spot, assuming you did not omit anyone else.
He’s in 18th by the way Baker did the rankings. Idle Thoughts does them differently.
While I agree that the way Baker did them makes more sense, because most of us are interested in how many players are ahead of us (Baker’s rankings), rather than how many distinct scores are ahead of our score (Idle Thoughts’ rankings), the fact is that we’ve argued this one into the ground, and this is how it is.
However, we can certainly ask phungi to post his list every so often so that we can see things the way we prefer. And I do ask. Thanks for doing this, phungi!
There was a typo in your original entry “Jimny Snuka”, a lesson that “spelling does, indeed, count”… now fixed…
