I was just reading about Stephen Furst on the Internet Movie Database. His age there is listed as 62, not 63, his birthdate as 5/5/55. His death is being listed in the news as complications of diabetes.
The IMDB said in the interval between the third and fourth seasons of Babylon 5 he dropped one hundred pounds. Also, both his kidneys failed, but a fan actually donated a kidney when it was found to be a match. Now that’s a REAL fan. Kept him alive for another twenty years.
That sounds extreme. Oliver Hardy died from the effects of losing a large amount of weight in weeks.

On a trip to Valencia in 2002, I attended a bullfight, just because it was unlikely I’d ever have the opportunity again. There were six fights on the card, but I left after three, because it was so disgusting. Yes, I knew it probably would be, but I thought it was something I should witness for myself. It’s appalling that so-called civilized humans can consider such gratuitous cruelty to animals an art form.
