This may be credible, but will wait for confirmation. There was a news report a week ago suggesting there was knowledge of his location, but, for now, the 18 players who picked Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi will have to wait
This just in, Julia “Jupe” Perez dead at 64 points, unique pick and onto the board in 2017 for yours truly.
BTW, Wiki has a great resource.

I’ll probably miss him more for that than Batman. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Batman. But Mayor West just appealed to me more.
Me, too. He’ll always be my mayor.
Am watching the movie “Barbarella” now and looking up someone in it, found out she just died. RIP Anita Pallenberg, who had a relationship with The Rolling Stones Brian Jones and then Keith Richards with whom she had 3 children.
Saudi arms dealer and Iran-Contra figure Adnan Khashoggi died on June 6 at age 81. His name isn’t on our excellent Death Shroom’s scoresheet, so 19 unclaimed points apparently.
“Barbarella” has to be one of the campiest films ever. ![]()
Some trivia. I just noticed that daddy Bush turned 7 a couple days ago. John Adams set the age record for ex-presidents, which stood for 175 years until Reagan passed him up. A few years later, Ford outlasted him by about a month. If Bush the elder, now in 3rd, has not paid out by Black Friday, he will take the longevity cup. Jimmy Carter trails him by a bit more than 3 months.
He just 7? Does he have Benjamin Button disease? Is he part canine?
Points. I believe he is on a list or two here.
Everyone is born into this game at the age of 82, and slowly ticks down towards zero.
Here is the Rolling Stone take, plus a studio video of the making of Sympathy For The Devil. Reportedly the lyrics are a take off of Jagger’s interpretation of Michael Buljakov’s The Master and Margarita.
Bat-signal will be seen in Los Angeles on Thursday night.
You too can be a big hero
once you learn to count backwards to zero…
But most people never make it to zero, which is what makes our game interesting. ![]()
It is kinda weird that every President up through Nixon had a shorter lifespan than Adams did, and every President from Ford on has lived longer than Adams did, at least so far. (Ford, Carter, Reagan, and Bush 41 have cleared the bar, with Clinton, Bush 43, Obama, and Trump still undetermined.)
Adams took over the Presidential longevity crown from his immediate predecessor, George Washington, on August 22, 1803 (if I’ve counted the days correctly). So he was the longevity champ for a tad over 198 years.
In lesser known deaths:
A.R Gurney, playwright died at 86. He was a multiple Pulitzer finalist with almost 50 plays, musicals, and 3 novels. AP
Patricia Knatchbull died at 93. She was known as Countess Mountbatten of Burma. A longtime member of Britain’s titled elite.

In German, und English, I know how to count down,
Und I’m learning Chinese, says Werner von Braun.
I loved that song. Not my favorite, but up there.
Several months ago, I found out by accident that Dr. Wernher von Braun is buried in the same cemetery that my father is buried in, Ivy Hill Cemetery in Alexandria, VA.
I mentioned this to two of my officemates (one is about 40, the other early 20s), and they both said, “Who’s Dr. Wernher von Braun?” I explained who he was, and mentioned that he was the subject of a song by Tom Lehrer. “Who’s Tom Lehrer?” was their response.
Ouch.
