Celebrity Death Pool 2018

I’m not sure if Joan Steinbrenner widow of George counts as a celebrity, but anyway she dead.

Colin Kroll, co-founder and CEO of the gaming app HQ Trivia dead at 34.

Penny Marshall dead at 75.
ahemPOINTSahem

Damn. Sorry to hear that.

Looks like 4 total picked her.

swampie, you did it again!

I got points for Ravenscroft when he passed at the age of 91. He was also the singing voice in “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”
*
“You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch”*

Ooh, I have Penny. Sorry to see her go, but POINTS!

Ya know, I really didn’t want to see Penny Marshall go, but points is points. Now I have to revise my 2019 list.

25 Points to Stephe96, tangent and first points of the year for swampbear, Elihna, and 6 (corrected) points to Andrew21 for HW. Could this be the last of the year?

Bite your tongue! I mean…oh, let’s hope so.

You and the Old Wench.

Not me of course.

Darn you both.

Are you Phil?

More like this Phil

He usually isn’t all that accurate either.

Not a household name. A face everyone should recognize. The epitome of a working character actor both on screen and on stage. Donald Moffat dead at 87.

He had one of the great lines in cinema, as Garry in John Carpenter’s The Thing:

"I know you gentlemen have been through a lot, but when you find the time, I’d rather not spend the rest of this winter TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH! "

I r emember the small fole he had as the father of a main character in the TV movie Cross of Fire. A few scenes were filme in my town of Topeka, Kansas.

To me his most memorable role was as LBJ in The Right Stuff throwing a fit because Mrs Glenn wouldn’t let him in the house.

Loved him in “Clear and Present Danger.”

And what I wouldn’t give for Harrison Ford to burst into the Oval Office and have that “how dare you” exchange with Trump:

The President: How dare you come in here and lecture me!

Jack Ryan: How dare you, sir!

The President: How dare you come into this office and bark at me like some little junkyard dog? I am the President of the United States!

Yep, this is the role I always think of when I see Moffat.
