Celebrity Death Pool 2019

The Prodigy’s Keith Flint, 49
:frowning:

He won’t be smacking his bitch up anymore.

Luke Perry just died.

Dead at age 52, major stroke.

9021- out

This hit me about as hard as Chris Cornell’s death. And, sadly, for many of the same reasons. Can I please just have one musician I loved as a teen die from natural causes instead of suicide or OD?

Wrestler Christopher Alan Pallies(“King Kong Bundy”)-dead at 61.

Red Wing great, union leader and all-around great guy, Ted Lindsay is dead at 93.

Back in the day I had a friend who’s father was a former boxer (The Italian Stallion b4 Rocky) and a trainer who trained some high profile boxers. Anyway, he brought pro wrestling to town as promoter and we got front row ringside seats. Saw Bundy pull a razor blade out of his shorts and cut himself above the eye right in front of me.
Doubt many if anyone else saw that because he was fast and slick doing it.

The best at it was George “The Animal” Steele. That man was a master and could have been a great magician had he not been such a terrific character and teacher. My grandmother knew a lot of the early wrestlers and took me along and I was amazed at his ability to invisibly cut something/anything handy.

Alex Trebek reveals he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

I’ll take Metastasis for $1000.

That’s really fucking sad. :frowning:

Ouch.

In the form of a question, please.

Probably going to need a call on this one. I figured she get more coverage, but it’s been a couple of weeks and no major news outlets have picked it up. All I can find is limited to Canada and upper-tier US. Here’s her Wiki page: Josephine Mandamin - Wikipedia
Josephine Mandamin, water activist who walked 17,000 km around the Great Lakes, dies at 77

Doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll die soon, but Tom Seaver has been diagnosed with dementia.

Found out from my mom, who is a huge fan.

“Did you hear? Oh, I feel so awful!”

“Yeah, I’m sad. Who do you think they’ll get to host Jeopardy when he’s gone?”

“What? Oh, Alex Trebek; I’m sad about that too. [She also watches Jeopardy on the regular.] No, Tom Seaver!”

“He died?!”

“No, he has dementia!”

“Oh. Well, that is terrible.”

And what especially sucks is, this year is the fiftieth anniversary of the Miracle Mets, and if there’s any kind of commemoration, he won’t be able to attend. Well, fiftieth anniversaries are tricky. When it was the 50th ann. of the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, only two of them were alive to mark the occasion. There was a ceremony for the 50th ann. of D-Day; Bob Hope was there, and he didn’t seem to know where he was.

Anyway, just wanted to note that. Sorry for the ramble.

That’s a shame. Age 74 is pretty early for age-related dementia to take hold. And, alas, the body can keep on going long after the mind has gone.

If I was forced to choose between being in Alex Trebek’s situation or Tom Seaver’s, I’d be Alex any day. I might die in six months, but I’ll still be me until the end.

Long time golf journalist for Sports Illustrated, Dan Jenkins has died at age 89.

Magician Marshall Brodien dies at 84. Who can forget this commercial?. I so wanted those cards as a kid.

Jan-Michael Vincent of Airwolf fame has been gone for a month.
