William Ruckelshaus, the Attorney General who resigned rather than fire Archibald Cox and thus triggered the “Saturday Night Massacre”, has died at the age of 87.
I didn’t even know he was still alive. I wonder what he thought of der Trumpenfuhrer?
He wrote a powerful letter to The New Yorker in April of 2018 over his grave concerns about Trump’s EPA Adminstrator Scott Pruitt rolling back protections. “The country must challenge the Trump Administration’s war on science.”

I’m just happy this year to have a unique pick for once. One of my best finishes as we head into December.
Only 4 of us had James? I guess that’s what happens when you are on death’s door for 10 years. He survived the band wagon.
Yup, my records show I last had him on my list in 2013 and he was my alternate for a number of years. Once he started apologizing for still being alive I figured he was actually immortal and took him off my list. Sad to hear him finally gone. And not just because I didn’t get points.
