Whenever someone famous dies, my wife will ask me if I had them. When I inevitably say no, she replies, “Man, you picks sucked.”

People from work text me when there is a death to ask me about my list. I tried to run one there, but had limited success. I have to remind myself how morbid it is to an outsider. I’ve submitted lists 17 years, so I’ve forgotten it isn’t something that is, uh, “normal”.

Being on a list is not a bad thing. In some ways it is remembering and giving a nod to past influence in a poster’s life.
