Reading ‘Who would you do if you swung the other way?’ and ‘beautiful people that make your somach turn’, I am reminded how much I think Juliette Binoche (sp?) and Julia Roberts look alike, yet they made different lists.

I also think that Leelee Sobieski (?) and Helen Hunt could pass for sisters. Is it just me?

Ummm…Lyda Roberti? Never heard of her. Looked her up on the net and see that she was in three films in the 1930’s.

Eve, you are showing off again. Can you refer us to a photo of her?

Yes, George, I am showing off again—but take my word for it, Lyda Roberti looked just like a platinum blonde Lili Taylor. (I also checked and couldn’t find any Lyda photos on-line—information supherhighway, my eye!)

Oh, yeah. They’re identical. I had never seen Ms Sobieski before, and a friend described her as looking kind of like Helen Hunt. So then I finally find a picture of her and was staggered by just how much they look alike.

I found a small one here. I don’t know if it’s enough of a picture to tell if she resembles Lili Taylor though.

I was unable to find any pictures of Lyda Roberti, but while searching I came across the following quote on the homepage for Classic Images:

I always thought that Mindy Cohn from the “Facts of Life” show looked an awful lot like coach John Madden.

I’m sure neither one would be pleased with the comparison…

That’s an awful photo of Lyda Roberti! The internet really has some ways to go . . .

Anyway, I am physically unable to tell the difference between Claire Danes, Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow. I am convinced they are the same person—has anyone ever seen them together?

We’ve done this once before I think…there’s a three way look-alike happening with Jeff Daniels, Jeff Bridges and Bill Pullman (the President in ID4). In fact I once saw a review of something in which Bill Pullman was uncharitably referred to as “The guy you get when you can’t get Jeff Daniels.” Ouch!

Now there’s nothing unexpected about the water giving out; “Land” is not a word we have to shout.
