Celine Dion's new CD crashes computers

This story http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/bpihw/20020403/en_bpihw/dion_s_new_cd_crashing_party_for_some_users&printer=1 at yahoo reports that the copy protection on the new Celine Dion CD will “…probably cause a system to crash,…”.

Am I the only one who thinks this is totally insane? Not that I would buy her CD in the first place.

Anyone else think a Sony boycott is in order?

Slee

Sheesh. Her voice has been shattering glasses for years and now this?? I guarantee that CD will show up on file trading services within days of its release.

There’ve been a few recent discussions on this topic in GD. I’d do a search on “copy protection” but the board’s running too damn slow right now. My understanding is that most record companies will be implementing some form of copy protection in the coming years. Things are going to get “interesting”.

Hell, I think we should boycott Sony simply for putting out a Celine Dion CD! Look at it this way, at least the copy protection will slow the spread of her poison.

Who would have thought my Win XP OS would develop some good taste?

Computers?

Celine Dion makes my [B}brain** crash!

PC speakers weren’t built for this kind of punishment!

Yeah, God forbid you can actually listen to a CD you buy. Thank you, Sony, for ensuring that even fewer people will buy new music…
