Does anyone know where I could find a map with the coverages of different cellular providers in B.C.? I’ve found maps that the companies themselves provide, but I’d like one with an overlay of Rogers, Telus, and Bell to make a
comparison. Perhaps something by Consumer Reports or a company like it? I don’t exactly trust the companies themselves to tell me where their signal sucks.
Thanks!
I haven’t come across one. It’s a good idea. Where in BC are you? We have Fido, and lost signal in Manning Park and off and on to the Kootenays.
I’m in the Kootenays. I’m thinking Telus probably has the best coverage out here but I’d like to see exactly where it’s better over the others.
Ah well… I guess I could take the company made maps and put one over top of the other to see where I’ll be missing out…
Bell will have the same coverage as Telus and vice versa, they both use CDMA and have agreements to use each others cell towers.
Fido only works in the lower mainland.
I would get a Telus phone, Bell blows (company wise) and Rogers coverage outrside the lowermainland sucks.
We tried to deal with Bell for some WAN connections and my boss put it best: those who couldn’t cut it with Telus, went to Bell.
Whoops, I stand corrected. I was told Fido only worked in the Lowermainland.
Did you have a digital or analog signal in the Kootenays?
Here is a map. Not the easiest to navigate or understand but it’ll do I think. If you click on the arrows above, below and to the side, they take you to different areas of BC. It only covers the Lower Mainland and Victoria though.
