Cereal Killer...or Killer Cereal?

What is your favorite out of the box breakfast cereal?

I really try to be good but it just isn’t in my nature!

I prefer Corn Flakes, Cinnamon Life, or Golden Grahams.

Now the thing is that I never eat breakfast. I like to eat cereal at night.

Corn Pops. Not too sweet, not too firm…just right.

Some old favorites, like Cocoa Puffs, are just too strong today…guess they really pumped up the chocolate content to make the milk change colors.

I can tell my tastes have changed since I was a kid because the first two cereals that popped into my head were Rice Chex and Grape Nuts. BUT – some things remain the same, even in our dotage: My #1 favorite cereal is still Super Sugar Smacks, even though they are now just wimpy old Smacks!! Dig 'em!!

Mine has got to be Captain Crunch!

You reminded me of the Cereal Evolution that happened back in the 80s when sugar became evil. Before then, cereals were proud of the sugar they contained.

Remember Sugar Bear, the mascot for Sugar Crisp, which became Super Sugar Crisp, which then became Super Golden Crisp, and then just Golden Crisp? How about that Sugar Smacks mutated into Honey Smacks before today’s name, plain ol’ Smacks?

I’m amazed that Cookie Crisp survived the purge.

(okay, before I corrected the above, I accidentally typed ‘Cookie Crips’. I’ll bet Cookie Crips cereal would sell like gangbusters (ha!) in LA. Anyone wanna break into the cereal game?)

Not into Cerealism.

Frosted Flakes. No question.

Unless you’re talking about dry, in the hand, in which case:

Golden Grahams. No question.

Cookie Crips – lol! (That Cookie Jarvis is da MACK!) Mine is FrankenBerry, but can’t get it where I live now :frowning: (And no, I’m not paying $5 a box for it at that nostalga website!)

“There’s a snake in my boot!”

Fruity Pebbles will get me anytime. Life is pretty dang tast also

Well, shut my mouth. It’s also illegal to put squirrels down your pants for the purposes of gambling.

Honey Nut Cheerios - two bowls easily.
There’s no second or third choice. I’ve been thinking of crunching them up and adding them to ice cream but haven’t done it yet. Maybe vanilla. Chocolate syrup??? Excuse me.

In milk: Frosted Flakes or Cocoa Pebbles. Or Count Chocula.

Straight out of the box: Honeycomb or Life.

My alltime favorite was Kaboom! Great name, plus leering psycho blue-green clown faces swirling color into the milk… I dunno why they took it off the market several centuries ago…in light of all the nostalgic resurrections, it oughta be brought back…

I loved and still love Lucky Charms, though I should probably be offended by the Irish stereotyping… L.C. is the best for dry out-of-hand eating.

In a bowl with milk and lotsa sugar, gimme Cheerios!

Catrandom

Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs.

Apple Jacks, Berry Berry Kix, and Honeycomb.

Hey, anyone remember Quisp?

No, no, no! The best cereal is Peanut Butter Crunch! I eat tons of it every 28 days.

No, stupid, it’s a boat!

Kaboom!! Elelle, I thought I was the only person left who’d ever heard of that cereal! I loved that stuff!

My outa the box favorite these days is Crunch Berries. When I have a bowl of them I eat all of the crunch first so I can enjoy all of th semi-soggy berries at the end. YUM!
