Your All-Time Favorite (cold) Breakfast Cereals

List as many as you’d like…

Quisp
Golden Grahams
Puffa Puffa Rice
Sugar Pops

Oatmeal Raisin Crisp

This is going to sound odd, but I really like the regular version of Fiber One.

As for the more non-healthy cereals:

Cinnamon Toast Crunch was always one of my favorites, with that sweet and slightly salty cinnamon flavor to it. I would put extra milk in my bowl so I could drink up that horchata-like milk that would be leftover after having eaten the cereal.

Also, Life.

As for the flaky cereals, Special K was the only one I really liked. I’m not into corn flakes, don’t like Raisin Bran. And none of those puffed cereals or Cheerios-type cereals ever did it for me. I could never understand what people liked about plain Cheerios.

Childhood
Team Flakes
BucWheats
Alpha-Bits
Cap’n Crunch
Corn Pops/Sugar Pops
Golden Grahams
Honeycomb

Now
Fiber One Honey Clusters
Bulk granola with dried fruit and nuts mixed in

I can eat a box of Fruity Pebbles at one sitting. I’m also a fan of Golden Grahams, Cap’n Crunch (original) and Peanut Butter Cap’n Crunch.

I continue to lament the loss of Buc Wheats when I was a kid; I’m not really a fan of maple, and probably didn’t even realize that it had maple flavoring at the time, but man did I love Buc Wheats.

I’m so sad that marshmallow Alpha-Bits are no longer in production. At least I still have Lucky Charms!

Cinnamon Life.

Cinnamon Life
Peanut Butter Crunch

I thought there were more but I guess, just those two.

I almost always have cereal sitting around - it makes for a good breakfast for work (when I didn’t work at home). I usually have a rotation:

Frosted Flakes
Cocoa Puffs
Apple Jacks
Golden Grahams

Every once in a great while I go a little nuts and get Fruit Loops.

Husband will only eat Captain Crunch. Or is it Cap’n Crunch? Whatever. Only cereal he eats.

I like a 3 way mixture between Cheerios, Raisin Bran, and Lucky Charms. Straight up LC is too sweet for me.

Life and Cinnamon Life … with plain yogurt or a scoop of cottage cheese aside.

Great Grains is the One for me now (lost 63 lbs. eating the stuff daily, w/ yogurt)-it is softer than generic granola tends to be. Any time my local grocery chain has the stuff on a 2 for 1 deal I snap up as many as I am allowed.

Life - I like to let it get soggy and put too much sugar on it.
Oatmeal - I like it thick, again with too much sugar on it.

I loved cereal growing up.

Cheerios
Puffed Rice
Grape Nuts
Raisin Bran
Alpha Bits
Rice Krispies
Cocoa Krispies
Wheaties

As a child: Quisp
Now: Raisin Nut Bran

Life (regular)
Peanut Butter Cap’n Crunch
Kellog’s Raisin Bran (other raisin brans, not so good)
Honey Nut Cheerios
Cheerios - with bananas and sugar
Grape Nuts - with raisins and sugar

Last Thanksgiving I had a revolt against Thanksgiving food and instead at cereal. I had Life for dinner and PB Cap’n for dessert. And went back for seconds. Mmmm!

Oh jeez…

Capn Crunch in all it’s iterations…especially with Crunch Berries
Frosted Mini Wheats
Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Apple Jacks
Honeycomb
Sugar Puffs
Alpha-Bits
Frosted Flakes
Golden Grahams
Cocoa Pebbles/Fruity Pebbles
Quaker 100% Natural
Cinnamon Life
Honey Nut Cheerios

Froot Loops
Corn Pops

Damn I love sugar.

Quake.

I can’t believe all the love for my favorite, Peanut Butter Crunch. One of the joys of being an adult is that I can have Peanut Butter Crunch for breakfast every day if I like. I usually keep at least a five box stock on hand.

Others I enjoy include Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Frosted Mini-Wheats with Fruit in the Middle, and the Honey Nut or Maple flavors of Quaker Oatmeal Crunch.
