I swear, I could eat cereal three meals a day. (I’t not just for breakfast anymore!) I gotta have the sweet stuff, like Cocoa Puffs and Cinnamon Toast Crunch (both sitting in the cereal cupboard right now), but every once in a while good ol’ corn flakes or Cheerios does the trick.
So I was wondering … what are your favorite breakfast cereals?

Three eggs over easy, buttered rye toast, a big pile of home fries with onion, and a split grilled half-kielbasa. Tomato juice (w/lemon) and black coffee on the side, and a big glass of ice water.*
Sweet breakfasts? Sissy stuff.
This morning’s late breakfast at the Old Poland restaurant, on Second Avenue between East 12th and East 13th Streets in the East Village in New York City, where sweet breakfast-eaters are killed and bled and dismembered and made into tomorrow morning’s split grilled half-kielbasa.
Heritage Bites by some organic food company. Surprisingly good for an unsweetened cereal. If I run out of that, I’ve got a Costco-sized box of Special K.
I occasionally get a jones for Kelloggs Raisin Bran Crunch (the originator of the “Breakfast is Back” slogan), but I can’t eat it too often. Way too much sugar.
I also eat cereal out of a truly enormous bowl. It’s gotta be at least three “recommended” servings.
Peach Fruit and Fibre.
Which isn’t sold anywhere (as far as I can tell) in the NY metropolitan area. The date flavor, yes, but not peach. On vacation, I eat about six boxes of the stuff in under two weeks. Last year, I ordered 32 boxes from Netgrocer and ate it in two and a half months. (I’m waiting until they have a Post cereals sale before I do that again.)
Barring that, usually one of the other flakes-and-fruit cereals - Basic 4, Cranberry Almond Crunch, or Raisin Bran (Kelloggs only!). I would eat it three meals a day if I let myself, but it’s a personal rule - no cereal for dinner (except on Saturday nights, when the food rules are suspended). I’m cereal-obsessed.
As I read through all the replies here I became increasingly afraid that I’d be the first person to mention Lucky Charms. I’m glad to see just before my post that okielady had the sense to nominate it.
