suppose i haave a package of certs
and i start eating them one at a time until i only have one remaining
do i now have one cert or one certs?
you’d have one cert. they’re only called Cert’s because there is more than one Cert in a pack. The same is true of Smarties, rolo’s and M & M’s.
There, now you can put this burning question to rest now.
I only hope you can sleep easier at night now.
gomez
i could sleep better if i thought that yours was the definative answer.
many people have answered that certs is both the plural and the singular like sheep
I assert that a cert is the singular.
You’d have one Certs mint, just like you’d have one Planters peanut or one M & M’s candy.

As a discussion of Certs v. Cert does not quite clear the bar for a Great Debate, I’m shipping this off to IMHO. (…'cause I’m not feeling evil enough to send it to manny. Heh heh heh…)

I have to avoid Certs for just that reason.
I’ve fearful someone will ask for the last one, and we will have a spelling debate right when it’s the worst time, when we both have bad breath!
I use Wintergreen Lifesavers (not yukky breathsavers).
The last one a single Lifesaver.
The name refers to it being a tiny lifesaver, so there’s no doubt.
