Wait, aren’t you the one proposing that parallel threads be opened in IMHO and GD so you can have poll and debate when they cannot be together? This is what just happened. The discussion was happening at ATMB, the name calling at the Pit and a poll in IMHO. It would be a lot more efficient to have it all under one roof but the current setup won’t allow for it.

The(somewhat) civil discourse is being held in ATMB, and the no-holds-barred postings are in The BBQ Pit. We already have a damn good idea about how various posters feel about the subject because they’ve already given their opinions in those other threads. In my opinion, that poll was just an excuse to spread the topic to another forum, and added absolutely nothing.
Since when was the purpose of polls to give moderators a good idea about how various posters feel about a subject?
