I pit the little turd Donnie Northrup. Even his name makes him sould like an ass.

According to him Cystic Fibrosis is a white man’s disease, and as such, not worthy of Carleton University’s charitable donations.

Not only is his information wrong, plenty of women and non-white people have CF, but he actually defended his stance on Facebook by saying anyone who disagreed with him was the same as the people who fought the abolition of the slave trade and women’s suffrage.

FWIW, I work with a black woman whose adopted black daughter has CF.

CF hits either gender. My younger daughter has it. She’s white, but definitely not male.

I’ve had two patients with it in the last 6 years, both were black males.

My elder daughter is helping my younger daughter take Carleton U. to task over their unfortunate assertions.

They recognize that charitable work is just that, a charitable gift. And if Carleton decides it is time to solicit for other causes, having donated to CF for some time, that’s fine.

But the ignorance asserted should not be allowed to stand undisputed.

On the one hand, bravo to the students for actually paying attention to where the money they raise is going.
