Briefly, they had the half time stats. the major point was that the Bombers won time of possession.
And Cody comes through - two great passes!
3pt difference.

Tremendous one-hand catch, while the Bomber was holding him. Would hve been pass interference if he hadn’t caught it.
Thanks!
Yes, that’s how you play Canadian football–you score on passing plays. Three-point difference four minutes into the second half, so it’s still anybody’s game.
And Als intercept in the endzone! Great catch.
It was a good one; Montreal definitely deserved that break.
So far, the Als are playing much better in the second half. I’d imagine that “they got told” in the locker room during the halftime break.
Als take the lead! 21 - 17.
Touchdown Winnipeg! Extra point is good!
Man, we’ve got a football game!
And now Als got the TD! 11 seconds left!
4 point game - Bombers have to get TD.
Here comes the Cup onto the field
It’s possible for Winnipeg. “The Bombers need a miracle now,” says the announcer.
So possible, but IMHO, unlikely.
Hail Mary time.
Als win!
Yeah, I can’t see …
Well, that’s that. Congratulations, Montreal!
Well I don’t think anyone picked this outcome, but what a finish.
It was an edge-of-your-seater, that’s for sure.
I’ll be at the parade on Wednesday.
Have fun! I always cheer for the Als if the Riders aren’t available.
So, I was on a cruise these last two weeks. But it turns out that you can see games on CFL+ if you’re outside Canada. I watched the east and west finals by myself the first week, and then ran into a bunch of Winnipeg fans, who didn’t know about CFL+. So I organized a Grey Cup Watch Party for Sunday afternoon. We ended up with about 15 people watching, including a few confused Americans.
Only two of us were rooting for Montreal, so that ending was sweet! But it was kind of cool having a spontaneous CFL get-together in the middle of the ocean.
How did it go?
And interestingly, the Als winning the Grey Cup has been the lead “In the News Item” on the front page of Wikipedia for a week. Clearly, nothing of any global significance has happened since the Grey Cup.
Scroll down from the “Featured Article”:
Led by four police cars, and two police horses - there were three or four convertibles (each with one or two “star” players), followed by three open-top double-decker buses - with the remaining players on their tops. The Grey Cup was with the players on the last bus.
At the end (about 30 minutes later), they introduced all the players and staff (I counted over 60 players - are their rosters really that big?), in front of a large crowd (“thousands” - not the “hundreds of thousands” that the media would like you to believe - there wouldn’t have been enough room for more than the “thousands” that were there. Thousands of others watched and/or followed the parade along its route.
I left after about an hour - a good time was had by all, with semi-decent weather (the rain/snow held off, with the temperature a few degrees above freezing).
