Challenge us with a non-famous line from a movie

I did not know that

“Reg Llama of Brixton.”

“Where are the ham hocks?”

“You have to shave before you leave the house in that dress. And I don’t mean your legs.”

Tootsie?

Nope. Newer. Early-to-mid 90s. Spoken by a supporting character.

[sung] “A little nonsense now and then is cherished by the wisest man.”

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Since no one has guessed this yet, it’s from Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid.

Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid and The Man With Two Brains were co-written by Carl Reiner, Steve Martin, and George Gipe. Gipe was a magazine writer from Baltimore, and those two films are his only Hollywood credits.

My father knew him, and Gipe told a story about being with Reiner and Martin in a restaurant in L.A., one of those places where stars go to eat and other people go to see the stars.

They were seated together and Gipe said to the other two, “It’s really strange having everyone in the place staring at me.”

Reiner and Martin, two major celebrities, looked at this unknown writer from Baltimore, and one said, “What do you mean, staring at you?”

Gipe replied, “Sure. Everyone in the room is saying, ‘Who the heck is that guy with Carl Reiner and Steve Martin?’”

"This place reminds me of Santa’s workshop. Except it smells like mushrooms and everyone looks like they want to hurt me."

Elf, of course

Easy ones

“I know you, father. You’re noble like the Krel.”

“Mutants. It means ‘the changed ones’”

“Malam ma pekeno!”

“Mr. Echo, go to Hell!”

“Barenga!”

Anne Francis in Forbidden Planet.

Either one of the Planet of the Apes movies or Rod Taylor in the original The Time Machine.

Could this be … Esperanto? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Surprised no one’s gotten this yet! :open_mouth:

Hint: It’s not a spoken line. It’s a line in the opening credits.

First one – correct

Second one – no.

Afraid not.

:slightly_smiling_face: Yes it is.

Must be Monty Python

Yep, from Holy Grail. :slightly_smiling_face:
