Challenge us with a non-famous line from a movie

“By Jove, [character name]. It’s a good thing we’re honest men.”

Sounds like it could be from The Man Who Would Be King.

The Lavender Hill Mob, maybe?

“Never rub another man’s rhubarb.”

Jack Nicholson’s Joker, in Batman

The pathway to salvation is as narrow and as difficult to walk as a …

You got it. Redacted character name is Holland, and Stanley Holloway is speaking.

I thought it sounded familiar. It’s one helluva funny movie! :+1:

Try this one:

“[Character’s name]! CHEESE!!!”

Wallace and Gromit in the Case of the Were-Rabbit?

Uhm, maybe. I’d have to watch it again to find out.

The movie I’m thinking of is live action and goes back a ways, in terms of both setting and production.

I’ve seen it dubbed into different languages, and that line is always the same. Which is why I remember it so well.

If I gave you the name of the main character, you’d probably know the film right away.

Another movie:

“We’ve forgotten the crackers!”

" So what are they going to charge me with? Assault with a friendly weapon?"

“Yitz, Toto.”

‘It’s in the map section, conspiracy shelf, Dewey decimal system, between Roswell and Marilyn Monroe.’

“I would never have any kind of pornographic activity with a fucking creature!”

This was The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou btw.

“Это просто замечательно!”

(“That’s simply wonderful!”)

“Much better. Thank you, Aziz.”

Oh I know I have heard that one and it’s driving me crazy. I want to look it up but that would spoil the thrill of remembering. Now I’m going to wake up in the middle of the night with the answer, but by then someone else will have guessed it. Grrr.

Lawrence of Arabia, maybe?
