That’s The Termimator, not sure about the ‘blow it out your ass’ one.
The Terminator is correct.
The line immediately preceding the one in the other movie is something like “Freeze! FBI! You are all under arrest!” (I haven’t seen the film in almost 50 years.)
One of my favorite lines from any movie, but the film is a little obscure, so I’ll give some hints.
The line is a Mother Superior’s response justifying a course of action in an emergency that would take her out into the world.
“Well, I could pray, but I think He’d rather I did something about it!”
Hint: Unusual for the times, the film starred two actresses, and did not feature any actors prominently, albeit, it featured many prominent actors. One of the actresses was one of the most famous of Hollywood’s golden age, and the other was well-loved, but not an A-lister until she went on to have her own TV show.
Oh, and though it’s a Hollywood film, the actress who actually says the line has a name that is preceded by “Dame.”
The Nun’s Story, with Audrey Hepburn in the title role?
No, but good guess.
It’s older than A Nun’s Story.
The Song of Bernadette?
No. Not based on a real event (or an historical one, or whatever you want to call Song of Bernadette), albeit, incorporates a UL that was popular at the time.
Also, has a subplot involving three character actors associated with three different Christmas films.
And for the time, astonishing special effects depicting extreme weather events, and some other really good effects that still look good today.
“Lincoln, you’ve just freed the slaves again.”
I challenge “Fuck you asshole” being a non-famous line. It’s one of the top 4 Arnold quotes in the movie. Unless you’re referring to Bill Paxton saying it at the beginning of the movie.
No one has guessed, so I’ll give the full quote and see if that helps.
“Roger, Lincoln, you’ve just freed the slaves again. Request PAR approach.”
“We don’t go for Jesus no more. Violence is a cleansing force. We must adjust ourselves to the level of our audience which is pretty low.”
Still no idea? Here’s another line from the same movie:
“I know exactly how Doc made his living, and the closest he ever came to the oil business was when he filled up at the friendly neighborhood gas station.”
I thought that one would be easy, but not even a guess so far.
From the same movie:
“I can’t hear a thing. There’s too much noise. Hold on. We’re goin’ for broke!”
“Shit! The chicks are packed! The chicks are packed!”
I think that’s from The Warriors, although I remembered it as “packing”, not “packed”.
I got ninja’d but I always heard it as “packed”.
One last time. If you don’t get it from this, you never will:
“Yes, it’s safe, it’s very safe, it’s so safe you wouldn’t believe it.”
It is from The Warriors.
Marathon Man ??
Yes! Along with “Don’t you ever clean out this armpit of a room?”
A lot of good lines in that movie!
