“And to the, to the gentleman who’s appendix I took out, I… I’m, I don’t know what to say, if it’s any consolation I… I may still have it somewhere around the house.”
Zelig. I’m watching it right now.
Anyone want to try this one?
So was I. Did you get it before the movie got to that line, or after?
Before … I had just tuned in and that line just rang out to me.
Since no one’s gotten it, the Quaker librarian in The Philadelphia Story.
Falling Down?
No, but they do share an actor!
Ferris Bueller. The “snooty” Maitre D
I reek of England and Calvinism.
And some cleanup:
“It’s like… someone invites you to a party, and you don’t show up, doesn’t really matter.”
Was from Rambo, First Blood Part II. iamatractorboy guessed First Blood, so he got the actor & franchise right.
Yes it is.
New one…
“I know a little German. He’s sitting over there.”
That’s gotta be Top Secret.
It is.
I guess most of mine are too easy. They get guessed so quickly.
I think I know the one… I can hear him saying it. War of the Roses?
Bingo!
Well, it’s April, and here I am. I remembered this thread, and the awning I was trying to desribe is still there. Here the view from one of the bridges that connect the parking garage with the check-in area of the terminal.
There’s a smaller glass awning extending over the road, but that sawtooth shape I was trying to describe is still there.
And it’s not just an awning. That same shape extends across the ceiling and all the way to the other side of the building. Here’s the view from my plane taxiing to the gate.
That concludes today’s episode of Architectural Digest. We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread, already in progress.
I don’t think anyone ever answered one I posed several months back:
“Boy, when U die I hope I go to Akkra”
Rings a bell but I can’t think of the title.
“It appears as though you forgot our French fries and a Coke, fishhead.”
New one (confidentially, I think it will be a miracle if anyone get this on this alone):
“You don’t want me. I am filled with Scotch and bitterness and impure thoughts.”
