Challenge us with a non-famous line from a movie

Yes.

(Strictly speaking, it’s Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, but I’ll give it to you.)

“Rock and Roll’s been going downhill ever since Buddy Holly died.”

Easy one. Paul Le Mat in American Grafitti. His comment on the popularity of Surfing music in 1962.

My second most favorite movie after Casablanca.

I think it’s the scene in the washroom where Tim Roth is establishing his creds as an undercover cop.

Both movies are rich with memorable lines.

A: [Reading from a letter] “I have four beautiful native girls living with me. One does the cooking, one does the cleaning, and one does the laundry.”
B: [Puzzled] That’s only three.
A: That’s right!
B: [Click! as light bulb switches on.]

Charley Varrick

(Another one)

“As a compliment to the cavalry.”

The Duellists.

The Mask Of Zorro?

Correct.

Also correct.

I knew I’d heard that line, but had no idea what movie it was from.

“Shit happens. Only here it always happens on a beautiful day.”

Road House (2024)

… just watched it last night.

Just watched it tonight! Nice line and well delivered.

Two lines from different scenes in this movie:

“Rude woman!”

and

“You got tiny dingaling!”

Another new one …

“… and she stepped on the ball.”

Originally in Aunty Mame, later repeated in Trading Places

You ruined my gotcha.
