There are so many funny, awesome, memorable lines in The Odd Couple. It was hard to pick one that wasn’t super-famous for the purposes of this thread.
There’s so many great lines in that movie. One of my favorite, and often overlooked is, “Your turn”. Aprox 3:50.
Interesting fact, The actress, Tammy Lynn Leppert., who played the blonde woman distracting Manny during the chainsaw scene in “Scarface” subsequently disappeared shortly after filming wrapped. She vanished on July 6, 1983, after being dropped off at Cocoa Beach, Florida, by a friend. Her vanishing is still unsolved.
Great movie. Al Pacino is a favorite.
“I have remembered how to seem.”
‘You are master of all you survey.’
“As I was yesterday. And the day before.”
- General Zod, Superman II
(RIP Terence Stamp)
A new one.
“Chuck! I’m wearing white.”
Snowballs?!
Nope. Here’s another line, which I use all the time …
“Are you excited?”
“Like the French when Lindbergh landed.”
Sounds so familiar, and I’m hearing Woody Allen’s voice. Is it from “Annie Hall”?
Nope. Not Annie Hall. … not Woody Allen.
Oh, was it “Night Shift”?
I bet that’s it. That line sounds very familiar to me as well.
Also from that movie, is a line I still use all the time…
How hard is it to pass out towels?
It’s a skill, like anything else.
Anytime some says, ‘How hard is it to ____?
That’s the one.
LOVE BROKERS!
Woody Allen, Henry Winkler; it’s so easy to get those two confused.
Dead ringers.
“That’s some bad hat, Harry.”
Jaws.
“This is ugliest fuckin’ car I ever seen in my life.”
