Challenge us with a non-famous line from a movie

This one should sound familiar in a somewhat different context:

A: “I don’t see how we could have missed at that close range.”
B: “We shouldn’t have. This American captain is no amateur. Well, neither am I.”

‘Sexy Beast’. Ben Kingsley was menacing as hell in that movie. He sure as well wasn’t Ghandi.

Hunt for Red October, I believe.

Nope, sorry. A much older film.

You’re right about the submarine, though!

Enemy Below?

That’s it! :+1: The inspiration for the Star Trek episode “Balance of Terror.”

It always amuses me that that film is based on a book called Six days of the Condor !

“Don’t you ever clean this armpit of a room?”

“They broke up because of religious differences. He thought he was God, and she disagreed.”

“I wrapped your sandwich in cellophane, just like you like it.”

“My father was very sure about certain matters pertaining to the universe. To him all good things-trout as well as eternal salvation-come by grace and grace comes by art and art does not come easy.”

“These Americans! They sacrifice themselves like samurai warriors!”

“Only an idiot could have won this war, and he did.”

The Mouse That Roared

A River Runs Through It

This thread has me trying to think of single-word quotes that are recognizable from certain movies. Off the top of my head, I’ve got:

“Rosebud.”

“Plastics.”

“Gesundheit.”

“Inconceivable!”

“Normandie!”

:white_check_mark:

“Is there any place you don’t smoke?”

I’m going to go out on a limb and declare that the best episode of the entire original series. I think I’m gonna go watch it right now. Ta-ta!

Definitely one of the best, for sure!

“In Philadelphia, it’s worth fifty bucks.”
