Challenge us with a non-famous line from a movie

YAY! That is such a fantastic movie with some great moments. I’ve watched it over and over. I love it when David Straithairn (the blind guy, for those who haven’t seen it) drives the van at top speed through the parking lot, over curbs and everything. And then puts it in reverse. And when he reads the braille Playboy. Conspiracy theorist Dan Ackroyd is also fantastic. Robert Redford, Sidney Poitier, & Mary McDonnell-- need I say more? Ben Kingsley (with his great ponytail) is the surprise Mystery Guest.

All Dopers would love this film. You can rent on Amazon Prime. Some of us- ahem- own it.

BTW, if you watch this movie (and you must!) don’t miss the trivia section at the IMDB. Some great stuff there.

It were a movie too wunnit. That nice Mr. Neck come all the way from Hollywood. There has always been Starkadders at Cold Comfort Farm, Robert Post’s child!

I’m cashing you…out.

Robocop

“Nothing is as revolting to the young than to see their elders at play.”

I don’t know the movie, but it’s terrible syntax. Either “Nothing is as revolting…as,” or “Nothing is more revolting…than.”

Cocoon if I had to venture a guess.

Good guess, but no. It’s a much older (1960) and (nowadays) less well-known film. It was, however, nominated for several Academy Awards (but it didn’t win any of them).

The cast included an Oscar winner and three nominees. The exterior shots were not filmed in the Northern Hemisphere.

“I didn’t want to be a bother.”

“I have two dollars, and uh, and a Casio.”

Driving Miss Daisy?

Nope.

C’mon, no one here recognizes Deadpool?

Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

The cartoon fox, after the carousel horses (ridden by Jane, Michael, Mary, and Bert) join a fox hunt.

Mary Poppins

Which reminds me, mine still hasn’t been identified. Here it is again:

Es gibt keine Hexen!

Yes. Guess that was easier than I thought.

So you lie awake in the dark and listen to him snore and get ideas.

I’ll try again: “How would you know?”

Double Indemnity?
