Is it just me or has Youtube changed how their video site works?
The new Youtube video window no longer has the ability to skip or move the video time. I am forced to watch the video from the beginning without the ability to skip forward or backward.

No, it works perfectly fine for me, but that’s weird. It could be a glitch in your browser, not displaying the usual control elements at the youtube site. What browser and OS are you using?
I was able to skip ahead or back on some random videos I just tried. Perhaps your experience applies to only some videos? Maybe due to a setting by the poster?
You are aware that some ads cannot be fast-forwarded?
I am currently using Safari with Mac OS 10.14.6
I will try Firefox and see if that makes a difference.

I restarted Safari and the operation went back to normal. Just a glitch and fortunately easily fixed.
I will do more testing before posting next time.

Rebooting the computer is such a magical elixir.
