Changing default font

Is there a way to change one’s default font (I prefer something with serifs), or is this not allowed or in bad form?

Please forgive my intrusion if this was addressed before or elsewhere.

Well, you can change your browser’s font, but there’s no option to change the font on the boards, as far as I know.

Default is verdana/arial/whatever sans serif font you got happening.

Sorry this is not your preference, but we’re really more focused on the content of the message much more than the look, though we do hope you make it a good presentation. Our users do tend to dislike bells and whistles and flying bologna, and so do we – even excess use of smilies will get some criticism by some of our members.

The font’s quite bearable. Just a matter of neurotic preference. No big deal. After all, all it needs to do is communicate, right? Serif or sans serif makes little difference in the end.

I bet, though I couldn’t promise, that you could change the user stylesheet of your browser to use only serif fonts in paragraph texts. I can’t remember any CSS at the moment, but stick a line or two in your stylesheet and you oughta be a happy camper.

And if you meant the default font of your own posts, I’d recommend changing your stylesheet instead since a lot of us find serif fonts unpleasant on computer screens. I sure do.
