The heating and coolling fan in my wife’s 2000 Voyager is begining to make noise. Does anyone know how hard it will be to replace? Will I have to take out the complete dash or is there an easier way?
Thank you.

How big a dork am I that I automatically thought this thread had to do with Star Trek? :smack:
I forgot to add the procedure for removal of glove box.

Heck with that – my first thought was “no no, it’s way too far away to fiddle with now!”
Mine too. Well, actually it was “I don’t think there are any fans on Voyager.”
You forgot “Put gloves in box.”
I’m thinking “*Voyager *has fans? Who knew?”
I expect that you will find that the fan is fine, and that there are leaves or twigs in the enclosure that are rubbing against it. Before taking out the blower housing, is it possible for you to pull off the vent hose and reach in there?
The vent hose opening is too small to provide any meaningful access.
Hey, my fans are fine. Keep your hands off!
I would like it if you were right. But I reconize the sound and I am afraid that it is going to be bad bearings. I am assuming sleeve not ball bearings.
