Changing my body's peristaltic cycle (maybe TMI)

This has to be the grossest thing I’ve ever posted. Since I clearly have some emotional hang-ups on this topic, please be kind. :smiley:

I’ve finally (ahem) acheived “regularity” when I go to the bathroom, by regular exercise, eating more fiber and less junk, etc… Now I have to go #2 about 2 hours after lunch, which is a pretty inconvenient time for me. For the past month I’ve been trying to change this by several methods, mainly by eating more fruits in the morning and “holdin’ it” in the afternoon – but this just results in less-than-regular results.

Is it possible for me to train my body to shift that time around the day? Optimally I’d like to go right after I wake up and before my morning shower.

(postscript: What does TMI mean, anyway? Topic May Induce (something not in the acronym)? Toadstool Muching Intoxicates?)

Drink a large glass of metamucil every night before you go to bed. I guarentee you that you will use the bathroom first thing in the morning.
