Changing my life in 3 easy steps...

Well, here’s an update. I’ve stopped eating little chocolate donuts. Bella’s gremlin image worked for most of it - and I stopped keeping change in my wallet, so I can’t get them even if I don’t think of tiny flatulent gremlins. ::eeeeewwwww::

Yesterday and this morning hubby and I got out of bed an hour early and went to the track at a local school. One mile each morning - I’m ashamed at how long it took us, but it’ll get better. The first obstacle was just getting out of bed and getting the sneakers on, so I’m pleased that we made it this far.

Paying down the credit cards? Well, that’s a longer process. It’ll be a couple of months before I can claim any progress there. But I got two out of three started, so I’m a grinning fool.

How is everyone else doing??

Ooooh, Seawitch, I was just thinking of you this morning and wondering if you had worn the Great Chocolate Donut War yet. It sounds like you’re doing a great job so far!

I’m doing pretty good, I think. Babies have been dressed every day except today, but it’s only noon and they may find themselves in real clothes yet this afternoon. (I don’t consider the “day” over until after 7 p.m. or so. Works for me.)
My kitchen is clean as a whistle–well, a sort of disheveled whistle, anyway–because I just spent all morning in there armed with sponges, a good movie on cable, and all sorts of toxic chemicals.
Menu–AH! I sort of have a menu. Basically, I just decided that Monday is Date/Family night, Tuesday is a hamburger-based meal, Wednesday is a chicken meal, etc. Once I get THAT step done, all I need is a can of corn and some potatoes, and I’m set. Sure sounds easy enough, doesn’t it??

In other news: I decided that since I refuse to diet, I should at least try to improve what I eat. So my new rule is, I can eat whatever I like, as long as I also eat this enormous plate of raw veggies each day. (Of course I could steam them too, but that would require another step, and two steps = cooking. Heh.) I like the veggies, it helps cut down on all the junk I eat, and who knows–I might even drop a little weight. I also feel more energetic, so I actually got out and walked a bit yesterday.

How about it, all you other life-changers? Any reports?
