Whats the difference between chap stick and lip balm? At the stre they cost different amounts, but they don’t seem that much different.
Chap Stick is just Whitehall-Robins’ brand name for their lip balm product. Other brands of lip balm are more generic, and as such are usually priced lower.
Lip balm is anything you put on your lips to make them feel better. Chap Stik is a brand name, but it is often used in conversation as a synonym for lip balm. Some lip balms are cheaper and some are more expensive than Chap Stik.
I have a military-issue Chap-Stik. I got it at an Army surplus store. It is the same as Chap-Stik–same manufacturer, same smell, same feeling–but it is in a plain white tube that has “Lip Stick Cold Weather” printed on it. It’s think it’s neat.
