Can anyone recommend a reputable charity that’s funding landmine eradication, preferably in Cambodia? I’ll look at Charity Navigator, but would appreciate your recommendations as well. Thanks.
Not Cambodia, Africa. Our Toykoplayer had a thread not too long ago about this very thing.

If this isn’t exactly what you were thinking of, he still might be able to point you in the right direction.
The only one I know of is the Halo Trust. I’m not aware of any criticism of them. http://www.halotrust.org/
The organisation that comes to mind is the UK-based Mines Advisory Group which has a US counterpart, MAG America
Landmine Survivors Network promotes education for many countries; not sure what their program is specifically in Cambodia. www.landminesurvivors.org . They are based in DC but have offices and work with NGOs all over the world.
They are a fantastic organization. I’d trust them with any of my money. Diana Spencer was their patroness before her death, and since then Queen Noor of Jordan has taken over that role.
I meant, Landmine Survivors Network promotes eradication, not “education.”
We just got some information from Adopt-a-Minefield so we’re looking into that. Meanwhile we have donated to Doctors without Borders on general principle.
Missed this thread the first time.
The “Fondation Suisse de Deminage” does work in Laos, but not Cambodia.
Thanks, Arnold.
Speaking as a former demining officer (Sri Lanka); Clear Path International, the HALO Trust, Mines Action Group, and the International Committee to Ban Landmines are all good recipients of aid and have projects in Cambodia. Other good organizations that have had projects there and around the world are the Marshall Legacy Institute and Norwegian People’s Aid. I’ve personally worked with all these organizations and been impressed by their professionalism.
