Charlie Sheen: Hero, Villian or Martyr?

Thus Sayeth Thou.
Thou Knowest All Rules HUH?.
Thou art wise then.
I dont like rules,
so taketh me or Nay.
thou Choosest.

Now, On Topic.
I still have not heard any worthy comment about what Mr Sheen has done.

Truther haikus are hard to take seriously.

I typed out my thoughts and mailed them to:

[Modding]I fixed the thread title[/Modding]

Sheen’s just a famous guy running his mouth on TV. His actions don’t rise to anything near the level of hero or villain. I don’t think he’ll pay much of a price for what he said since most people have learned to just roll their eyes and ignore September 11 conspiracists. I liked watching Sheen on Spin City but in the real world, the only people who could hail him as a hero are those desperate for publicity for their hopeless cause.

I vote “schmuck.”

Thank you for fixing thread title.

Time will tell whether anything comes from his actions.
I think prob not, those that wield power know when to use the ignore button,
Mr Sheen will most likely be hushed by ignore.
nonetheless
i respect anyone who dares to question the status quo, , its a basic right of what is held most sacred.

the right to ask, why ? How? etc
What you call ‘freedom’

Now that is indeed horrifying. Your sinister allusions to the possibility of Sheen’s being “culled” or “silenced” were frightening enough, but good God, what kind of fascist tyranny are we living under when the powerful can wantonly and brutally ignore the conspiracy theories of entertainment celebrities? My blood runs cold just thinking about it, doesn’t yours?

If being ignored by those that wield power could hush him, I think it would have happened already. But we can always hope.

That’s not really being hushed, then is it?

He’s got the right to make an ass of himself if he chooses, I agree. I guess it’s not the first time.

so you just gave up your right to ignore the thread completely, or was it that you exercised you right to say you can choose to ignore what you don’t want to consider, or have simply dismissed as ‘conspiracy theories’?
is not this freedom you all die and wantonly kill for a truly grand thing?

Bit early to tell what the powers that be will do, i think prob ignore, tho, i figured Pres Obama was a man of substance, unlike his predecessor.
seemed to like meeting challenges head on.

Nope, I’m thankful to say that I retain my right to ignore the thread completely, even if I’m not choosing to exercise it at this moment.

lol, ha ha ha. good one.
and neither is Charlie…
probe, ask, make waves,
question…
BTW
you going to say anything at all about the topic?,
just if you have the time to get round to it.

Do we need to to make a choice?

I vote for both and voting for him also as being an “asshole”.

(Penn and Teller’s treating these yahoos the way they now deserve. (NSFW language))

New York State has composite voting, so I think you can vote for loon, asshole and schmuck and they’ll all be tallied for him.

I already have, several things, and I think I’ve made my opinions on it quite clear. But in case you need it spelled out for you: With regard to his views on the events of 9/11/01, Charlie Sheen is neither a hero, a villain, nor a martyr, but rather a credulous ignoramus.

I fully support Sheen’s right to express his credulous ignorant opinions, as well as the right of other gullible nutcases to espouse them. But I do not think that his credulous ignorant opinions deserve any attention whatsoever from rational people—especially rational people like the President who have more than enough real issues to occupy their attention without wasting time on conspiracist fantasies.

I trust that that answers your question.

An honest question, what is with the weird formatting? I knew the OP was going to be a conspiracy theory before reading the text, just by looking at the crazy spacing between paragraphs. Surely people realize that when they make their text look like that (along with other indicators, like randomly capitalizing words), it just encourages others to blow them off as loons, regardless of what those ideas are. Why not just format your paragraphs normally and at least marginally increase the chance that others won’t blow you off as a crackpot?

worst.argument.ever.

I am having difficulty finding where you have “contributed” anything, myself.

Posting random phrases in ways that ignore basic rules of writing about a work of fiction without actually setting forth a clear thesis to discuss is not a good way to encourage an actual debate.

Clean this up (both for coherence and style) or I will shut it down.
(I’d send this to Cafe Society for discussion of the work of fiction, but they don’t need this sort of clutter, either.)

Right back at ya! :stuck_out_tongue:

Charlie Sheen is an idiot.

And a god. After all, he did get to sleep with Denise Richards for a few years.

weston waswn’t making an argument. He was dismissing truthers as cranks; in effect, he is stating that the truther position should not be argued against. His position is perfectly valid. Some people and some positions do not merit argument. Ignorance is not a point of view.
