Ditto. Never did AOL. (Nor Prodigy. GEnie for a while.) Was delighted to see SDMB appear, furious when it went pay-to-peek, happy to contribute to the current model.
Still around, although not much. Too much time on the road, not enough at home to catch up around here. And not getting notifications the last couple of months has made it more difficult. :dubious:

You don’t need notifications to keep up with threads that you’ve posted in and people have replied. Subscribe to the threads and use your Control Panel - it lists all your subscribed threads. Simple place to check whenever you feel like it.
Don’t like ads, so I keep re-upping.

ETA: oops, I just realized that the spreadsheet I imported that in only did 65535 rows, which is less than half the data, so the numbers I had posted were bogus (now deleted). Ignore those numbers. The CSV is fine. I don’t have anything handy to do the calculations with and i’m too lazy to write the code right now. Knock yourselves out.

Some notes:
I left out moderators and administrators, since my code looks at a specific field and many of them have that field changed to something funny. Also, everyone else with a custom title is skipped since I can’t tell what they are (unless we can assume they’re all charter members – I can’t remember the rule – in which case add around 80 people to the charter member column).
There’s a difference between registered users and guests? Surely all guests are registered else they would have no ability to post?

I’m kind of surprised I have a number that’s lower than John Mace, I still feel like a newbie sometimes.
All this chat about charter members has sent me to buy two years more; I don’t intend to forget to renew! I don’t get to feel important in my life much so being a charter member AND a 99er means a lot to me. So does the half price membership, actually.
IIRC, registered users are people who need to confirm their email address is valid.
