Howdy Y’all! Home from the last night of VBS over to the church house. It was supposed to be a pool party/cookout for the kiddies at a church member’s house near the church house but torrential rains squashed that. Thus, da bear grilled burgers and dawgs at the church house and we had dindin, a wrap up of what was learnt, and games. The very sweet lady who was goin’ to host the pool party promised the kiddies she’d have one for ‘em on a Sunday afternoon durin’ August with a cookout. I promised her I’d help. Yes, I am insane.

Hugs, sympathy, congratulations, and other gestures of affection to all as needed/wanted. Had to run errands this afternoon in 90+ heat in a car without working AC, and it felt like the heater was on (wasn’t, according to the controls), so my brain is melted.

Midget, how far is this from you? I was out with a pilot friend tonight who’s going & an earworm was dropped in; I am now looking into logistics for coming up for some/most of the festival.
I have clothing all over my living room floor. The box o’garments that was delivered today (18½ hrs after it left the factory in Hong Kong!); one piece was damaged & the printing on some of the pieces doesn’t match other pieces, sizewise. The logos are almost 50% larger! So I’ve had to open up a whole bunch o’garments to inspect them & figure out what’s going on.
I’ve already had some communications with the company. Bobbio, I know you’re loanin’ out your givadamer, but what about your pen? I need some of your special poison ink for my reply to them. :mad:

Well, anywhere I can’t reach by public transit or coach bus or train (that is to say, somewhere that can only be reached by car) is too far for me. I don’t have anyone to drive me.

It’s after 10pm and now the kid tells me he’s hungry and doesn’t have anything to eat.
I have the other half of my Subway sub, sweet onion teriaki chicken or sumpin like that.
It was 1:30, I hadn’t eaten all day and I just wanted something to eat.
Anyway, it wasn’t bad.
Now to figure out something for the Sah-son. Maybe grilled cheese, no I think peanut butter and jelly, quicker, quieter, easier and he could make it himself.
Then I am going to bed.

Nothing but work on the agenda today. I was supposed to go to lunch with a friend, but life got in the way.
I made Sah-son two PB&J sandwiches last night and you know an hour later he was back telling me he was hungry? I said I am not getting up out of the bed to fix you something so you are on your own. If he had his license he could have gone out and gotten himself something. Maybe that is the incentive he needs to get out and get driving?

I am at irk and not very irked yet, but it’s still morning so there’s plenty of time. The sun’s shining but it’s not as hot today which is good news since the office I’m in retains the heat. I went to the pub last night with friends and had some bizarre conversations involving the space station, long eggs, buttering machines, the pope and the queen having a race, robot chickens and finally finished up with black widow spiders walking on mercury.
Tonight I have to go and pick up my friend’s house keys as I’m looking after her three cats this weekend. No doubt they will spend the entire time trying to convince me they haven’t been fed all week and are in desperate need of treats.
I’m not much of a butt-admirer. A nice pair of legs, tho, might catch my attention.

**BooFae **- I’ve had me some weird conversations, but yours is definitely a contender for weirdest. I’d love to see the route that bizarre discussion followed! 
It’s about 70° here but it feels cooler, and humidity is way down, so yay! The house is open, the dog is fed, the cat box is scooped, and the spouse is still asleep because he stayed up late watching something on TV. I crashed fairly early again and slept pretty well overall.
No crabbers going out yet - usually by now at least 2 or 3 have logged in. I’ve got some laundry to do today, and I may get more time in the garden, yanking weeds. I should also run the vacuum cleaner thru the whole house, and I definitely need to empty and reload the dishwasher. My motivator needs adjustment, because I just don’t want to do anything today…
In bug-bite news, my left hand is almost back to its normal size. It still itches a little but overall, it’s not terrible.
So I guess it should be a decent day - Happy Thursday!!!

Well today I am going to have a serious case of I-am-leaving-in-nine-hours-on-vacation-and-I-don’t-care-about-irk-anymore-itis. There is no cure but time going faster dagnabit! I will eat blueberries, lobsters and whoopie pies in honor of y’all. I shall return the Tuesday after next.

I woke up sure today was Friday. Then I remembered it wasn’t. There was much sadness. Last night Roomie and I went out for milkshakes only to discover that the ice cream parlor was packed, so we went to the Stewart’s knockoff down the road and discovered that they only have three flavors of shake, none very good. So that was a disappointing evening.
