Shuffing off to Irk- A MMP

I’m up, caffeinated and off to work. Who else is? Who’s off, and what are you slackers doing with your day off?

First! Woot!

I’m up, washed, fed and caffeinated. All packed and ready to go on holiday, just waiting for our ride to the station who should be arriving in less than half an hour.

Try not to miss me too much, don’t trash the place while I’m gone, and don’t let Mooooom catch you not using coasters!

I wanted to shuffle off…to Buffalo (on Sat to get wings but no one else wanted to go. :().
Today we’ll have breakfast, say goodbye, pack up, & go home.

heh heh heh - day off - how cute.

No idea what our plans are today. **FCD **got up with Higgs and I snoozed a bit more. Now he’s snoozing and I’m up, just because. We’ll just wing it today. And, alas, it’s supposed to get warm enough that we’ll have to close things up and turn on the air before the day is over. Oh well…

I have a few azaleas I want to move - maybe today will be a good day to do that. And maybe I’ll crawl back into bed and snooze a little more. “Indecision is the key to flexibility” - right?

Happy Moanday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 67 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 91 for the day. I have well, not a whole lot planned for the day. We may go out for brekkie in a little while. OYKW is headin’ over to his place at some point to do laundry and such. I have ground beast thawed and will make up a beastloaf for dindin tonight as well as some burgers for later this week. I also have a poke tenderloin in da fridge that I may go ahead and grill up for dindin one night this week. Sounds excitatin’ right?

BooFae y’all have fun travelin’ to the past this week!

Now I need more caffiene and I reckon I should go purtify somewhat if’n I am goin’ out to the public. One must be presentable even at the Waffle House.

Happy Moanday/Memorial Day Y’all!

Hi all!

Got back last night- hope you dusted properly. Had a fun trip; did no juggling at all at the juggling convention (which is absolutely standard for that one) but did play a lot of board games, visit the local brewery, and sit in a field full of buttercups in the sun.

Dad’s birthday went pretty well- though with the awful traffic it wound up being an 8 hour drive for me to get there- t’was a surprise one, though I think the mahoosive tent that got stuck up in the garden the day before may have been a hint

There was quite a few people I hadn’t seen for a while, and a was a hawg roast, which went down well with those folks who were not vegetarian. There was booze anyway, so I was happy. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, and neither of my cousin’s kids fell in the pond, despite best efforts.

Drove back up yesterday evening- got back just before midnight. Was thinkin’ of leaving it til monday, 'cos I was a bit tired, and it’s not as though I had work to rush back for, but it occurred to me that there’s considerable roadworks around at the moment, and the resulting queues on a bank holiday would probably almost double the journey time. Mum gave me a load of plants from the garden to try, which I shall away now to the allotment to plant.

Happy moanday all!

First off, blurf! Today I will be sending back the supersize monitor I bought by mistake, and ordering a smaller one that’ll fit on my desk. I had decided that it would be much less expensive to buy a new monitor the proper cables, than to ask one of the geek services to come out to the house and fix my iMac. However, the one I ordered was way too big for my desk, so I’m returning it.

So, who wants to invite me to a grill out?

I shall be lollygagging.

I too shall work today, though I took great advantage of the weekend to see my kids Fri - Sun, and drove them home late.

We got dad’s boat ready for it’s 49th season on the water, then took it out twice. When we launched it on Saturday I started the engine, began backing out of the dock, turned to see we were clear and when I turned back my daughter was already on the wheel, taking over. She’s a natural at the helm.

On the way home yesterday I got snagged in a radar trap, yet as is my fortune I talked my way out of it. This happens about 90% of the time. Be polite, even friendly; immediately admit guilt; have documentation ready; ask for a break up front! Ended up chatting a bit with the officer, nice guy! I was doing 70 in a 55, had just finished passing a slowpoke, usually try to run at 67. MD State Police generally give you +14 on roads like Rt 50.

Even though I have to work the lack of working people in DC will make it like a holiday for me, hopefully. Who knows what idiocy they have planned.

We went to Waffle House. OYKW has left for his place and I have made up a beastloaf for tonight’s dindin which he shall return to eat. I might even go out to the cee-mint pond for a bit.

We’re dressed, breakfasted, and ready for yard work. We’re going to move 3 azaleas and a peony, then quit. At least, that’s my plan.

I got up at 5:30 the first time this morning, but eventually got out of bed at 6:15.

I am enjoying a leisurely cup of coffee or two before I commence with tidying and cleaning. I wanted to do the cleaning yesterday, but between buying a new grill/smokerbox combo and putting that bad boy together most of my day was shot. After putting the grill together, I had to get the fixings for today’s BBQ with the kids and buy that time it was 7:30 in the evening and I still had to fix supper!

At any rate, we’ll break in the new grill today and even though the weather is not being cooperative, I will still enjoy it. It’ll be nice to see my daughter and son-in-law and my son is coming home from school today.

It seems this has been a rather busy weekend with errands and what not. I didn’t get nearly as much done as I would have liked, but there is always next weekend.

Happy Moonday!
and Happy Memorial Day!

It looks to be another beautiful day, although we will probably have to put the AC on later. Actually I think it is on now but the air coming in my window is cooler than the air coming out of the vent.

It’s been a morning and I will be adding PINK gel pens, Sharpies and Graphite Pencils to my shopping list.
They managed to piss me off at 5am. I told their asses off, I feel a whole letter better.
I may be ordering the dumpster.

So nothing planned for the day. I took a long hot soak in the tub, I need to fix some breakfast, Sah-dog wants out again and then I may go back to bed, or I may go to irk.

Happy Monday/Moanday/Memorial Day,

Blurfity blurf blurf

Jim

Not too much going on here today. I have to take RT back to work in about an hour. Then I’ll probably come home and take a nap.

Why is today any different for you?

I did in fact shuffle off to Buffalo this weekend. But on Sunday not Saturday. I decided that with the holiday, it would be a good weekend to visit the flea markets. It turned out to be sadder than I expected. The biggest flea market in the area is Super Flea and it’s been open since 1971. What I hadn’t known was they had announced its closing last month (they’re tearing it down to build a Walmart) and yesterday was its last day. So a lot of the venders had already left and those that remained were mostly in a sad mood.

I’m watching Mod Squad
How did I ever thing that show was interesting?

I so wanted to be like Julie, she was way cooler than Marsha.

Cops beat high school ditzes every time

Those also serve who stand and lollygag.
