I want to take my motorcycle to Washington. When I brought it down I rented a 5X9 ramp trailer from U-Haul for $86. Now I’m being quoted $706 (or $556 if I return it 100 miles south in Seattle). I understand that going the other direction is more expensive, because there’s more demand for the trailer in L.A. than in WA. But this is outrageous. It would be cheaper for my to fly to L.A. and ride the bike back – only I don’t feel like riding in snow and rain. Do any of you have any ideas how I can get my bike up north without spinding so much?
For that money it would pay to buy a small trailer and maybe sell it in WA., or keep it for future use, wouldn’t have to be a M/C trailer.
