Chearleaders - Wher else besides America?

I have been to many football games in the uk and have not noticed anything very official aboout the chants that spread about the grounds. Many are quite obcene or libelous. “You are shit and you know you are” is always a popular chant for opposing teams. “There are only two Andy Gorams” is one of my favourites - chanted when rumours of the Ranger’s goalkeeper’s alleged schizophrenia surfaced. Another was the response “we want one” to the home supporters’ chant of “we want six” upon going 5-0 up.

They don’t compete on a sprung floor in Australia, (I don’t know about the US) so it’s kind of irrelevant that they train on one. I teach gymnastics, my youngest gymnast just turned six, she’s training 10.5 hours a week. She’s in our competition stream, but she’s not in an elite stream. I don’t teach elite gymnastics, but a gymnast who used to be at my club is eight or nine now, she is in the elite program and trains ~28 hours a week. (It’s mad, I know.)

I’m pretty sure that if someone is “deciding” they are deciding between national stream gymnastics and cheerleading, rather than between international stream gymnastics and cheerleading.
