Cheek Bone Implants

I have a question for clarification for the article

Cheek Bone Implants.

The first paragraph reads

Does this mean that there have been multiple years where this procedure was discussed, or is there an implied “ago” after years meaning that the article was written a few years ago?

That article sounded like a completely different Cecil than all the other Cecils.

Not really sure how that helps clarify the sentence. I am just having trouble parsing it.

He’s saying “some years” should have been “some years ago”. The missing “ago” makes that sentence a hashup.

I’m assuming Irishman has it, and I’ll get it corrected. Thanks for finding it, Zyanthia

Cecil’s Classic Columns have gone through a number of different formats over the years.

They were first published in the Reader, then collected in the Books, then run on AOL, and through at least two different sets of formatting on the Straight Dope website.

When you look at all the ways this data has been manipulated I’m amazed any of the content passes over intact to begin with.

An occasional gremlin does creep in. This was one of those times. It’s been corrected.
