I’ve been racking my brain for about 6 months on this one. Can’t find any decent Cheers sites to help out. Google didn’t help.

Old Cheers episode: Diane and Sam are talking about Woody, which puts this in either Season 4 or 5. Diane wants Sam to talk Woody out of doing something (I want to say place a large bet in a football pool, but I may be confusing two different episodes), Sam says Woody should be allowed to do it because “it’s something every guy has to do at least once in his life. It’s like __________, or whizzing off of a balcony, or visiting a cathouse”.

I laughed hard, my then-girlfriend looked at me in horror and asked “is that true?” I said I’d never been to a cathouse, but I’d done the other two.

And now I can’t remember what I confessed to. What was the third thing every guy has to do at least once?

“…mooning out the back of a car…” from the episode “Fools and Their Money”. Sam says it to Diane after she admonishes him for encouraging Woody to place a big bet with a bookie.

Hey, there, Mr. Blue… so pleased you answered this question that’s been nagging at me off and on for a couple of years. I waste time searching the web, looking for reruns, and heck, this board gets me an answer in 43 minutes. Maybe it is worth paying to keep my posting privileges :slight_smile:
