I don’t think you had anything to worry about. It seemed pretty clear from your post #7 that you were countering the OP with some well-deserved sarcasm.
You know, all of this reminds me of the old debates about the merits of Henry Kissinger. Some said he was pug-ugly, while others insisted that he was “kind of cute” or even that he had an unusual kind of rugged good looks. This issue followed him during his entire career.
Oh, wait, that must have been in a strange dream of mine. Kissinger’s looks were never that big a deal. Even his critics did not feel it necessary to comment on his looks while slamming him. I wonder, could that have been because he was male?
I think the OP raises a good point. How can somebody be qualified to be President of the United States if his daughter is not a 10? Or at least a 9 who goes both ways.
I didn’t even know she was getting married but I can’t see her being anything near ugly after looking at those links. I think she’s a natural beauty. Doesn’t need fake anything or a slab of make-up to hide flaws.
It wouldn’t matter if she was ugly though. Her family deserves security because there are a lot of weirdos out there. I mean, just look how angry the OP is!
Which is a suprise, because I haven’t seen …or really heard…anything about her in years.
So she’s getting a bit coverage for her wedding. I don’t care about her wedding, so I avail myself of the multitude of entertainment options and news outlets that also don’t seem to care that much.
She’s been in the public eye involuntarily since she was 12. In all that time she hasn’t said or done anything even remotely stupid. By all accounts she’s a nice, intelligent, hard working, thoughtful, kind young woman.
Kudos to her parents for doing such a damned fine job raising her and felicitations to her on her nuptial day.

The wedding took place during a private ceremony on May 10, 2008 at her parents’ Prairie Chapel Ranch near Crawford, Texas. On June 21, 2008, President Bush hosted a wedding reception for Jenna and Henry at the White House. The guests included many Republicans, such as Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice. The United States Marine Band performed.

Captain Midnight , care to get outraged at the expense?
She’s actually pretty cute. A lot of her parents in her face, which might take some getting used were I around her a lot. I figure in time it would just seem like her face.
If you mean the Beekman Arms Inn in Rhinebeck, the Times reports that it’s sold out for the weekend. Most likely that’s for wedding-related reasons. But again, it’s a private establishment. So not seeing the outrage.
