I don’t seel him as happy about sunlight. I picture him as more of a cave dweller, spending most of his time in a hot sulphurous-smelling pool. His eyes blink infrequently but his tongue is frequently fluttering about sampling the air.
If you could rub a blow-gun dart in his sweat, it would kill a full-grown musk ox in ten seconds flat.
He’s been cranky ever since he lost “the precious”.
I hope he is arrogant enough and sure of himself enough, that he incriminates himself right on live television.
I’m getting tired of continually having to point this out: There is NOTHING irrational about hatred for Dick Cheney.
There is something EXCEEDINGLY irrational about continuing to watch any TV that has his face on it.
Unless it’s his face in a mugshot released by the Hague.
Disgust IS a pretty good word for it. Yeah, that’s it. The son of a bitch is disgusting. He’s like one of those festering bruises, with the weird little green runners and stuff.
Cheney is a disgusting infection that just won’t go away.
Possibly by driving it into an overwhelming sexual frenzy.
I’m convinced, your declarations have proved your rationality.
Irrational: That word does not mean what you think it means.
He also mildly rebuked Rush recently, so I think it’s safe to say Tom’s GOP days are numbered.
One down, couple of hundred to go.
Got something in your eye, there?
That’s what you think.
If all you say is true, then why didn’t Clinton act then? By all accounts, he had plenty of opportunities to eradicate not only Bin Laden, but known terrorist training camps that were active in Afghanistan and elsewhere. So he sent a couple cruise missles. That’ll show 'em.
I’ll merely suggest that you read Clarke’s book to get the insider’s version of that.
Recall, too, that the Loyal Opposition was heavily on Clinton’s case for being *too *obsessed with Al Qaeda, asserting that the actions he did take were merely attempts at distracting people away from the blowjob story. And recall too, while you’re at it, that his administration *did *round up the Al Qaeda group that bombed the World Trade Center in 1993.
Yeah, those masterminds.
There are those who would suggest that if the threat truly did exist and Clinton knew it to the degree that Bush can faulted for not acting on it, then Clinton should have acted on it regardless of what the ‘loyal opposition’ was saying.
What you are saying is that Clinton deliberately procrastinated on a national security threat that eventually resulted in the deaths of 2,000 Americans because Republicans were giving him enough grief as it was. So instead, he passed it off to the next guy (and remember how GWB promised to deal with the al-Qaeda problem himself and not pass it off to the next president?) with the result that those 2,000 people were killed and the country was plunged into war.
People defend Clinton when it comes to the blowjob on the grounds that it was nobody’s business but his and Hillary’s, but this is a perfect illustration as to how a politician’s personal misconduct can backfire and have repercussions that are damaging to the country itself.
Somehow I doubt that is much comfort to the husbands, wives, sons and daughters of those killed on 9/11. The fact that Clinton rounded up WTC bombers has nothing at all to do with whether he should have acted subsequently to capture or kill bin Laden. In capturing the WTC bombers he was simply doing his job. It’s regrettable that Clinton chose political expediency over decisive action when it came to the subsequent threat that al-Qaeda posed which he elected to pass on to Bush.
Ah, in a word, no. In another word, horseshit. What he said was that Clinton could not count on Republican support. Didn’t say that he “deliberately procrastinated”, that’s you talking. Ol’ Elvish talks pretty good, I’m sure that he’d prefer that the words that come out of his mouth were his to begin with. Just guessing, mind you, but still a pretty good bet.
Now, of course, you can say that if you like, but someone is probably going to ask where you got your information, and you’d have to moon them to show.
I somehow doubt that the families of all those American service people killed or crippled in a useless war in Iraq take much comfort from the fact that Bush lied to the American people to get us into said war; a war which he has now passed onto Obama.
Starving Artist, you make me sick. Your ignorance knows no bounds and your stupidity extends to unplumbed depths; your IQ has got to be on a lower level than that of a dead clam. I sincerely hope that you have not managed to procreate.
As sure as I am that Elvis appreciates your running to his defense so as to spare him the task of attempting to claim something other than what he actually said, he will likely appreciate less that you are saying essentially the same thing. Either way you cut it, Clinton opted not to take the action that he, the Chief Executive and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces should have taken to keep the country safe and secure, politics be damned.
OK, so now we ask where you get your information, and you show us yer ass.
As much as I know you’d like to believe otherwise, if you’re speaking of the alleged presence of Iraqi WMD the fact of the matter is that you don’t know for a fact that Bush lied about anything…unless you’re a psychic or mind-reader, that is.
And that’s your version of knowledgeable and intelligent argument, I suppose?
Well, if you want to know where I’m getting the information that you and I are speaking of at this moment, I would refer you to Elvis’ post #172 above.
