Yeah I’m fine with short notation. I know a lot more about how to respond to d5 than Nf6. Already into guessing the right move.

Ok, now the position will be more open. My comment last time was because a major alternative for White is 3.d5, when I play 3. … e5 (instead of the sharp 3. … e6).

I looked at d5, but wasn’t sure if it was good or not. Capturing looked bad to me so I developed the knight instead.
What’s the thinking on 3.g3 ? I remember from my days of playing the English as white that 1.c5 2.g3 worked well. But I was 1600-level on my best day, so…

I’m interested in seeing what Glee has up his sleeve…at this point he appears to be behind in position, with only his knight out and active while white has his knight, black bishop and queen ready for action…
