That would be a good weekend for me. Wife is due the end of the month so I’ll be in town.
I’d be down if it’s an after-work sort of thing. Some potential of me making it on a Saturday night, but zero potential for a Saturday day.
As the turnout last time showed, going at a time that neither me nor MOL can make it is just not a good idea.
So are we settled on the first weekend of November? What about a Friday night?
Early November works. Would prefer a school night, or during the daytime on a weekend. Might could do a Friday, but not ideal.

Let’s set the date as Friday Nov 2, sometime after work, say 5 or 6 pm. Anyone know how the happy hour scene is in Lincoln Park? The Galway was great for the last mini fest, as it there was plenty of room for a group on a Saturday afternoon.
Another idea in Lincoln Park might be Rocks
The Lake View location is my absolute favorite hangout place, great beers on tap and the food is quite tasty for bar food.
I haven’t been to the Lincoln Park location, but if they’re good with groups as well as separate checks, it might be a good Dopefest spot.
The only problem is that parking around there is impossible. I drove like an hour to get there and after 45 min of looking for a parking space gave up. If we can find somewhere that has reasonable parking I’d like to join in.
How does the other location at Rocks, 1301 W Schubert Ave, Chicago, IL 60614, work our for parking?
Parking is pretty rough anywhere in LP, especially in the evenings.
There is paid parking on several spots on Clark Street very near the Galway Arms.
Quick bump to gauge interest on Friday, Nov 2, let’s say 5 pm-7 or whenever. Is Lincoln Park ok with paid parking for those who drive?

It will be difficult to park and getting into the heart of the city at 5 on a Friday is not something I’m looking forward to. I leave work just west of Ohare at 5 and can’t imagine getting to LP before 6.
The Galway was perfect in the summer with that deck but I’m not sure how well it would work in chilly November but I can’t come up with any alternatives. I’ll leave the location-picking to the public transporters and just show up when I can.
