Terra Mysterium is bringing a world premiere musical steampunk show to the Chicago Fringe Festival, “The Alembic.” We are a four-year old theatre troupe producing original works rooted in mythology, Earth mysteries, and positive transformation of the human condition.
This is a tough time for young arts organizations. Most new theatre companies discontinue their work after three years. We’ve pushed past that barrier, and have an amazing piece of musical theatre to share with the world, but we need your help.
For the past three years, Terra Mysterium company members have purchased and made their own properties, costumes, and sets. We are now entering into a new phase in our development by producing works that are intended for touring and repeat performances on the road. This requires hiring professionals with experience to create sets, costumes, and properties meant to last a lifetime in order to give our audiences theatrical experiences they will remember.
We are currently running a fundraising campaign through IndieGoGo. If anyone would like to support us, we’d really appreciate it, whether through contributions, sharing our campaign with your friends, or coming out to see the show! The Fringe Festival runs from Aug. 30 through Sept. 9 in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. You can reserve tickets at the Chicago Fringe website. (Entry to the Festival is the $5 Fringe button. Tickets to individual shows are $10 each, or purchase multi-show passes for a discount.)
We would welcome anyone to come see our show, and invite you to come steampunked up, if you wish!
