Chicago St. Pat's parade. Bush protesters?

For anyone who went to the parade, were their people at the parade protesting President Bush’s visit. I’ve heard conflicting reports. Thanks.

Heck yeah! I was at (actually IN) the parade and saw personally:

  1. Parts of the parade route, and downtown streets some blocks away, were littered with little (maybe 1/2" by 3 or 4") scraps of yellow/orange paper marked “GEORGE W” on one side and “WANTS WAR” on the other.

  2. A couple of hippie-looking guys in the front of the crowd had a big cardboard American flag drawn with blood dripping from it. Written across the flag and blood was “THESE COLORS DON’T RUN, THEY DRAW BLOOD.” :rolleyes: (actually, I forget now if it was BLEED or DRAW BLOOD or some other similar phrase involving blood.)
