Chicago's downtown deathtrap...

Huh? Where did I say that she was reacting poorly? I said she was doing a good job, especially compared to that loser in Minneapolis.

Why are you trying to claim that I said she was doing poorly, when anybody who actually reads by post can clearly see that I said no such thing?

Sorry I misread that. Since this was a thread about Chicago creating a deathtrap, I assumed to you were saying that she shouldn’t have done that. I was mostly baffled why you mentioned she was black and gay.

Thanks for the correction. Honestly, it’s hard to watch a lot of these videos for more than a few seconds.

I live in downtown Chicago. Very, very downtown…a stone throw from the Loop (if I was John Elway).

I am not saying the city has not had its problems…it certainly has.

But deathtrap? Nah.

This tactic is called “kettling,” and this is a pretty good read on it: The “kettling” of protesters, explained - Vox

Just read the article and I don’t think it applies. The article defines that tactic as actively pushing into and trapping in a small confined space like a bridge or a block. Confining spread outside of the broad downtown region that it was in is not that.
